What We
Offer

01

Conceptual Layout:

-Start by sketching the basic layout of the home. This includes deciding how many containers will be used (standard containers come in 20ft or 40ft sizes).

-Visualize how the containers will be arranged: stacked, side-by-side, or offset.

-Plan room layouts within the containers: bedrooms, living areas, kitchens, and bathrooms.

-Consider modifications like cutting out parts of containers for larger rooms or creating windows and doors.

04

Permits & Approvals:

Getting permits from Collegue of Engineers and Municipality.

07

Window, Door, and Roofing Installation:

-Install windows and doors into the pre-cut openings.

-Add a roof if desired, either by creating a sloped metal roof for better water drainage or placing solar panels on top for energy efficiency.

02

Create detailed architectural blueprints.

-Floor plans showing the layout of rooms, doorways, and windows.

-Elevations showing what the exterior will look like from all sides.

-Cross-sections showing the interior spaces and structural elements.

-Plan for insulation, HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), plumbing, and electrical systems.

05

On Site Construction:

Once the modifications are complete, transport the containers to the site.

-Use cranes or forklifts to position them on the foundation.

08

 Interior Finishing:

-Walls and Flooring: Add framing and drywall or other interior wall finishes to cover the container’s steel walls. Install flooring such as wood, tile, or vinyl.

-Electrical and Plumbing: Install electrical wiring, lighting, and plumbing according to the blueprints.

-HVAC: Install cooling systems. In many cases, mini-split HVAC systems are ideal for container homes.

-Kitchens and Bathrooms: Install cabinets, sinks, appliances, and fixtures in the kitchen. In bathrooms, install showers, toilets, and vanities.

03

Structural Engineering

This is key on designing container homes, shipping containers are designed for shipping, not for buildings. Our structural engineers must ensure the integrity of the containers when they are modified (like cutting windows or removing sections of walls). Reinforcement is often needed when stacking containers or making larger open spaces by joining multiple containers.

06

Joining Containers:

-Weld the containers together if they’re being combined to form larger rooms.

-Ensure the joins are airtight and watertight to prevent leaks.

09

Exterior Finishing:

-Paint or apply siding to the exterior for aesthetics and additional weather protection.

-Add any desired exterior features like decks, patios, or landscaping.
